During early stages of community growth when a player seeks a match but no opponent is available to play, especially at odd hours, TallyUP will occasionally match players against one of a small number of computer-controlled opponents. This is strictly to ensure that games can be enjoyed when players want, if no other match is available.
The computer-controlled opponents have no additional information, skill or advantage of any kind. They play exactly as average players do and they lose at least as often as they win. Being matched with such an opponent is already quite rare and decreasing each day as our community and play levels increase.
If you want to ensure that you never play against a bot opponent, then you can go to Settings > Matchmaking Settings, and toggle off Include Bots. This may cause you to have to wait longer to find an opponent, but you will not match with a bot when you request a live game.
